Concentration Statement

My concentration focuses on the structure and order of cells and molecules on the microscopic level. Specifically my concentration investigates the dependence of the various levels of structure on one another and the consequences of deterioration of this order in genetic diseases.

  1. Laura the color and texture here is amazing! I can kind of see what you mean about the shadow being small... I don't think it would hurt to extend it out just a *tad* bit.

  2. I love the contrast and the texture. Some of the marbles in the bowl look a little jelly bean like so you might have to round them out or add shadows in those regions.

  3. This is amazing Laura! It is so crazy to me that you could do this in dots with all of the colors and i can still tell that they are marbles. I feel like doing this was a risk with how marbles are but you really pulled it off and it looks awesome.

  5. i think this one is my favorite of yours! i absolutely love it! it feels very old-fashioned to me! i would like to see a little more brilliant colors but then thats just my taste it art, and i still love it the way it is :)

  6. This is amazing. It's definitly "5" material. i really enjoy the light that you put on the table and how you made the entire peice interesting and not just the bowl.Maybe the inside could se a little cleaning up.

  7. Beautifully and patiently rendered! My only suggestion at this point would be to just add a bit more shadow to the left hand side of the bottom of the bowl so that it looks like it is "sitting" on the table plane. Otherwise, I am very impressed with this piece!
